GET REVEALS NEW FLAT DIMMER

GET has introduced what it describes as a revolutionary new cutting-edge 300W electronic dimmer switch that compliments to perfection its already popular and stylish Ultimate flat plate and Rocca ranges of wiring accessories and grid systems. The streamlined design features a slim profile very much in tune with current trends in interior design.
In addition to a module for the Ultimate gird system it is also available
as 1 and 2 gang plate dimmers in all Ultimate finishes. With an enhanced
visually appealing alternative to conventional dimmer switches with their
protruding buttons, the new electronic module heralds a new era in dimmer
switch functionality. For example, it is capable of two-way or even multi-way
operation using standard, low cost, one-way
retractive press switches. These retractive switches are pressed
down to cycle through the dimming intensity and are tapped to switch on
or off at the required dimming level.
Dimming can be activated from all switch points with just one dimmer module. So while in most cases, with conventional dimmer switches, it is possible to install only one dimmer on a two-way installation, the retractive switch allows dimming from both switch points.
Utilising leading edge technology in addition to offering greater durability and dependability, the new electronic dimmer features smooth light level adjustment – from full to low-level – and soft start on and off operation to extend lamp life and increase reliability. With a rating of 300W another welcome feature of these silentrunning switches is, of course, the absence of any humming during operation, and will control mains, mains halogen or low voltage with no de-rating.
The quality-build electric transformers feature a resettable thermal cut-out switch to avoid damage due to overloading. They also incorporate a power-on LED indicator which changes from green to red when in operation.
Commenting on the incorporation of such advanced technology, Colin Fletcher, GET’s Marketing Manager, cites the new electronic dimmer switch as evidence of the company’s commitment to innovative product development and its pledge to provide customers with fully integrated solutions. He said: “The new electronic dimmer switch is a landmark development for GET and shows that the company is more than ready to embrace advanced technology to provide customers with better solutions that represent quality and value for money.”
