- Are the cameras weatherproof?
- Yes to IP44.
- Can I record the picture?
- Yes, by connecting to a standard VHS recorder or by connecting to a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) GCCTV10DVR.
- Can I see pictures from all the cameras on screen together?
- No, you will need a quad screen monitor.
- How many cameras can I run on the system?
- GET wired Multi-Camera and Wireless camera
systems, up to 4.
GET Motorised tilt/pan Multi-Camera CCTV system, up to 3 - Can I add additional CCTV cameras to the system?
- Yes, if you have a multi-camera or wireless camera system.
- Will any CCTV camera work with my 4 way control unit?
- No, only GET CCTV cameras.
- Can I see a picture when it's dark?
- Yes, up to 2 metres away, although we recommend additional lighting be installed.
- My colour camera does not give me a picture in the dark
- You may need additional lighting.
- Can I mix colour and black & white cameras on my multi-camera system?
- Yes.
- Will the camera start my video automatically?
- No, you will have to manually set up to record. Alternatively, you could use the DVR (GCCTV10DVR).
- Is the camera lens adjustable
- No, preset 0.5 to infinity.
- The scart socket on my TV is in use
- You will need a scart splitter.
- Will the PIR sensor work through a window?
- No.
- The length of cable supplied on my CCTV camera is too long. Can I cut it shorter?
- No, under no circumstances should this cable be cut. Coil excess cable neatly.
- Will the DVR record pictures automatically?
- Depending on how you set up the programming, the DVR will record automatically on movement seen through the camera lens either as a single frame JPEG (still image) or as an AVI video file.
- How many cameras can I use on the DVR?
- The DVR has the facility to connect two cameras. The recording function is only on the camera being shown on screen.
- Can the DVR recording be used as evidence?
- Yes, the DVR imprints the Time & Date. On each activation, storage of recording is direct onto a 64Mb SD memory card. This can be played back onto a TV or with a memory card reader directly onto a PC or MAC.
